Friends, below please find a fundraising letter from Luisah Teish regarding a wonderful opportunity she has to attend a forthcoming Pan-African Grassroots Assembly. If you are able, please support her in whatever way you are able. Thanks!

Alafia Good People:

Blessings and gratitude to everyone receiving this letter. Please
circulate it in your community.

I have been invited to serve as a Cultural Ambassador to the
Pan-African Grassroots Assembly. The Assembly is being held June
29th-July 1st at the Kingdom of Oyotunji African Village, 56 Bryant
Lane, Sheldon, SC 29941.

This is an historic gathering of people who have nurtured the
preservation of African-based spiritual practice and who will guide
future transformations.

This weekend long assembly will incubate purposeful discussions, think
tanks, labs and workshops in areas of the Practical Applications of
Orisa Worship, Midwifery, Women in Ifa, Reclaiming Yoruba
Spirituality, Ancestor Veneration, Ifa Naming Ceremony, Home
schooling, Ifa and Kabala, Polygamy and Polyandry and its place in
Yoruba culture, Oyotunji Male and Female Rites of Passage, Post
Traumatic Slavery Disorder, Agriculture/Agronomy,
Homosexuality/Lesbianism, Spirituality, Ecology, and Justice and many
more!

Of especial importance is the gathering of Awon Iyanifa, that is,
women who have initiated into the highest order of the priesthood. As
many of you know, I was one of the first to do this, and now I am
honored with the request to become the Creatrix of a West Coast
Village. This could be a dream come true for many of us.

I need your help in making it a reality.

Most of us are facing financial challenges, so I am asking you to
contribute only from your abundance. ($10.00-$500.00)

I need assistance with the following things:

Raising the funds to attend the Assembly. You can make a money
contribution online by going to
https://www.wepay.com/donations/the-jambalaya-spirit-revitalization-campaign

Or you can mail a check or money order to:

L. Teish
5111 Telegraph Avenue
PMB # 305
Oakland, CA 94609

I need a Mac laptop computer so I can keep an accurate record of the
presentations, take active notes, and access materials I may want to
share.

I need to know which of the issues mentioned above (and others) are
important to you and your community. Please send me a note with the
subject title Assembly Issues and your questions/comments at
DahomeyRoyal@gmail.com

Also, let me know if you are willing to engage in-group discussions
after I return.

I am looking for one or more acres of land in the East Bay and people
interested in helping to establish the West Coast Village.

Time is of the utmost importance so please respond to this email and
let me know what you think/feel/can do.

Thank you for your work in the world.
